Breastfeeding is a basic human right but there are still many barriers that prevent women from giving their children the necessary nutrients while outside of the home. Springer Nature supports women’s right to feed their babies without fear of persecution or shame.

The Breastfeeding in Public series in the International Breastfeeding Journal not only highlights the importance of breastfeeding, but also aims to recognize barriers preventing women from doing this practice. The series also aims to explore potential ways to make breastfeeding in public more comfortable.
