Technology innovations enables improved visualization of the spread of cancer cells
Watch how cell division and chromosome changes are influenced by cancer genes in a new imaging model
Researchers at the University of Arizona have developed a new method of visualizing cancer cell divisions that greatly improves on previous methods. By changing the dye and imaging techniques, cells are exposed to less cytotoxicity and unnatural processes. This allows for a more accurate biological representation to be visualized in real time, and the events and gene changes that lead cells to become tumorous can be more rigorously mapped and studied.
